Yearlings

The children in our yearling program range in ages from ten to eighteen months old. Our teaching team consists of a Lead Teacher and Assistant Teacher. The maximum group size is eight ensuring a teacher to infant ratio of one to four. There are three primary goals for our yearling group. The first goal is to foster children’s developing language skills. Our second goal is to promote positive social relationships and our third goal is to strengthen large and small muscles as well as develop strength and coordination. We do all this with one-on-one interactions, reading stories and singing songs. We model positive praise for friendly appropriate behavior. We offer many opportunities for children to explore new objects and materials fostering discovery through play.
